HOW IT WORKS

Draft a roster of 5 starters and 8 bench players from tournament teams. Each round, only your active starters score points — bench players do not score until promoted.

When a starter's team is eliminated, that starter is replaced by the highest-ranked available bench player who has not also been eliminated. Subs are promoted based on the order you set during the draft.

UPSET MULTIPLIERS

Players from lower-seeded teams earn a score multiplier that grows the further they advance. Multipliers are cumulative — a seed 13–16 player starts at 1.25× in Round 1 and gains +0.25× every round they survive. Seeds 9–12 start at 1.25× from R32 onward. Seeds 5–8's multiplier begins in the Sweet Sixteen, seeds 3–4's multiplier begins at the Elite Eight, and seeds 1–2 receive no multiplier.

📌 Note: Only your active starters score points each round. Bench players earn zero points until promoted. Teams with fewer than 5 active starters can still accumulate points — you are not penalized for having fewer starters due to eliminations.

ROSTER RULES

5 Starters One starter per team. Minimum 2 Guards and 2 F/C required at draft time.

8 Bench Players Minimum 3 Guards and 3 F/C required at draft time. Max 3 players from the same team (combined starters + bench). Position requirements do not apply after the draft is locked.

Underdog Required At least 1 player seeded 12–16 on your full roster (starters + bench).

Mid-Seeds Required At least 3 players seeded 6–16 on your full roster (starters + bench).

#1 Seed Cap Maximum 5 total players from #1 seeded teams across your entire roster.

Bench Promotion Rank your bench 1–8 before the tournament. When a starter's team is eliminated, the highest-ranked available bench player who has not been eliminated is promoted to starter for the next round. If multiple starters are eliminated, subs fill in order of your rankings. Position requirements do not matter for promotion.

Roster Lock Rosters lock on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 12:00 PM EST. No changes after that.
